FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. What professional organizations are you a member of?
  2. Do you have any references?
  3. Can you mask to <insert color> or something other than black?
  4. Where do I ship the coins to be photographed?

1. What professional organizations are you a member of?

  1. American Numismatic Association (ANA)
  2. American Philatelic Association (APS)
  3. American Revenue Association (ARA)

2. Do you have any references?

References can be supplied upon request.

3. Can you mask to <insert color> or something other than black?

I can mask to any color you like, but I recommend black for several reasons:

  1. Black is a neutral color. Other colors will give the optical illusion of the coin being tinted slightly in various shades. Black offers the truest color representation of the coin.
  2. The shadows at the rims of coins are naturally grey phasing to black, so when the coin is masked it looks more natural; masking to white or colors creates a "harsher" mask, looking more artificial.
  3. Against a black background, the coin almost looks like it's suspended in air; it really pops.

Ultimately I'll do whatever you like; they're your coins, but in my opinion black provides the best results...
